Suspicious vehicle call leads to impaired charges for Keswick driver

A Keswick man faces multiple charges after Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers attended an address on Highway 10 in Grey Highlands for the report, located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop April 22 at 10:07 p.m. When signs of impairment were observed, a driver was arrested and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing, police said in a news release.

The Grey Bruce OPP have charged Jason Effler, 39, with the following offences:
    •    Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus);
    •    Operation while impaired;
    •    Operate a motor vehicle without insurance;
    •    Driving while under suspension;
    •    Fail to comply with probation order.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.
