York Regional Police is urging commuters to slow down as officers continue to respond to accidents across the region during the area's first heavy snowfall.
"Roads are very slippery and numerous accidents are being reported to #YRP, please use caution and slow down," police have posted several times on their Twitter account in recent hours.
Officers are "very busy" as heavy snow causes havoc during the afternoon and evening commute. Snow accumulation of up to 10 to 15 cm is forecast for today.
