Shooting in Markham leaves house, car with bullet holes

Investigators believe the shooting happened during a party at a short-term rental property

Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau and seeking witnesses after shots were fired at a vehicle and a residence in the City of Markham.

On Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at approximately 3 a.m., police were called to the area of Dunsheath Way and Blanke Lane in the city of Markham for reports of sounds of shots being fired.

Officers canvassed the area and located a vehicle with bullet holes and the windows shattered as well as a single bullet hole into a residence on Dunsheath Way.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe that the shooting incident happened during a party at a short-term rental property. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has information that may assist is asked to come forward.
