Police seeking witnesses in fatal Richmond Hill collision

A 91-year-old female passenger from one of the vehicles succumbed to her injuries on Monday

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit continue to seek witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of Richmond Hill.  

On Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at 5:30 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision at 88 East Beaver Creek Road, which is in the area of Sims Crescent.

A 91-year-old female passenger from one of the vehicles suffered life-threatening injuries and she was taken to hospital. On Monday, February 12, 2019, investigators were advised by the hospital that sadly she had succumbed to her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who may have been driving on East Beaver Creek, north of the popular restaurant area, who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
