UPDATE: Missing vulnerable woman found

Update: As of 10 a.m. Feb. 1, York Regional Police are reporting on Twitter: "MISSING WOMAN LOCATED - Yana BEREGOVOY who was missing from the Town of Richmond Hill has been located in good health. Thanks to all for your assistance."

York Regional Police is seeking public assistance to locate a vulnerable 36-year-old woman missing from the Town of Richmond Hill.

Yana Beregovoy was last seen on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at approximately noon at Hillcrest Mall, located at 16th Avenue and Yonge Street. She was dropped off at the west entrance on the northwest side of the building.

Ms. Beregovoy usually calls family members for a ride home but she has not contacted them. Police and her family are concerned for her well-being as she as considered a vulnerable person. The frigid temperatures are also a concern.

Description:

  • Female white
  • 36 years
  • Approximately 5’5”, 250 to 300 lbs.
  • Shoulder-length brown hair, brown eyes
  • Wearing a red toque, long, black winter jacket with fur hood, fuchsia pants and grey winter boots
