Police searching for suspects using stolen credit card

Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect following a break and enter and a fraudulent use of a stolen credit card. 

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, sometime between 2 and 5:20 p.m., suspects broke into a residence in the area of Bathurst Street and Shaftsbury Avenue in Richmond Hill. The suspects forced open the front door and stole a quantity of jewelry, a MacBook and credit cards.

On Oct. 18 and 19, 2018, a credit card stolen from the residence was fraudulently used multiple times at various locations throughout the GTA. The suspects using the cards were captured on video surveillance.

Both suspects were observed operating what is believed to be a 2011 to 2015, four-door, silver Hyundai Elantra sedan, with light-blue licence-plate covers.

Investigators are releasing the video surveillance footage of the suspects and are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying them.
