UPDATE: 2 men charged with murder after Newmarket man dies in Mississauga

The 30-year-old died of injuries after showing up at a hospital Friday night, Peel Regional Police say

Update, March 29: 

Two men have been charged in the death of a 30-year-old Newmarket man, Omar Simpson, who died in a Mississauga hospital March 25 after arriving with signs of trauma at about 8:30 p.m. 

Investigators discovered there had been an altercation in the area of Sunnyhill Drive and Fieldgate Drive in Mississauga where it is alleged that the victim was stabbed multiple times. 

On March 27, Peel Regional Police arrested 27-year-old Donovan Daniels of Mississauga and 26-year-old Jordan Langlois of Mississauga. Both are charged with second degree murder. They appeared in court in Brampton on March 28. 

Investigators continue to ask for anyone with information or dash cam and surveillance footage leading up to, during, or following the incident to contact police.

Peel Regional Police have launched a homicide investigation after a 30-year-old Newmarket man died in hospital in Mississauga.

On Friday, March 26 at about 8:30 p.m., a man arrived at the hospital with obvious signs of trauma, police said in a news release.

The victim, who has been identified as Omar Simpson, died in hospital as a result of the injuries.

Investigators have identified a potential scene in the area of Sunnyhill Drive and Fieldgate Drive in Mississauga.

"At this time, there is no suspect information available to share; however, this is believed to be an isolated incident," police said.
