Vaughan teen girl, Brampton man arrested, gun seized in Vaughan

A 16-year-old girl from Vaughan and 27-year-old Brampton man face a combined 15 charges following a report of a suspicious vehicle in Vaughan Feb. 24.

Officers were called to the area of Cedar Glen Court and Forest Heights Boulevard at about 2:43 a.m., where they located a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Toronto, York Regional Police said in a news release.

The driver attempted to flee, however, police were able to arrest the male driver and female passenger and seized a loaded handgun during a search. 

Shane Felix of Brampton and the teenager, who can't be named, have been charged with a combined 12 criminal offences, including: dangerous driving; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm; and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
