Police arrest third suspect in Markham double-stabbing case

Police have made a third arrest after identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection with a double stabbing in Markham

On Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at around 2 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a call for an injured person outside of an establishment at Highway 7 East and Commerce Valley Drive West. 

When officers arrived, they located two adult males suffering from stab wounds, police said in a news release.

Officers learned that two males and one female had been waiting outside the establishment when the two victims exited. The male suspects ran at the victims and began a physical altercation. 

One male suspect had a knife and stabbed both victims several times. The male suspects then entered a dark-coloured vehicle, in which the female suspect was waiting, and fled the scene prior to police arrival. 

On Dec. 8, police arrested and charged two suspects, 26-year-old Rachel Ga Yoon Kim of Vaughan and 22-year-old Thomas Mu He of Toronto, each with two counts of attempt to commit murder and two counts of aggravated assault. 

On Jan. 26, the third suspect, 23-year-old Eriston Sadiku of Vaughan, was located in Brampton and arrested without incident. 

He was charged with two counts of attempt to commit murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
