Pedestrian seriously injured in Richmond Hill collision

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after a serious pedestrian collision in the City of Richmond Hill.

On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, just after 7:30 a.m., York Regional Police were called to the area of Yonge Street and 16th Avenue for a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Toyota Corolla. The pedestrian, a 23-year-old man from Richmond Hill, was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or who may have dashcam footage of the incident is asked to come forward.
