Passenger suffers life-threatening injuries in Richmond Hill crash

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious collision in the Town of Richmond Hill.

On Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision at 88 East Beaver Creek Rd., which is in the area of Sims Crescent.

A 91-year-old female passenger from one of the vehicles suffered life-threatening injuries and she was taken to hospital, where she remains.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who may have been driving on East Beaver Creek, north of the popular restaurant area, who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.

York Regional Police is asking anyone with information to contact the Major Collision Investigation Unit by calling 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7704, or to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS, or leave an anonymous tip online.
