Shortly after 9 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2018, York Regional Police officers pulled over a vehicle as the driver’s licence was under suspension and there were outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Soon after the 56-year-old man exited the vehicle, a struggle ensued between him and officers.

The Interim Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against any police officer in relation to the fractured nose the man was diagnosed with following his arrest.
