UPDATE: Newmarket man missing since Friday

The man, who is new to the area, was last seen near Main and Botsford

Update, March 28 at 11 a.m.: York Regional Police is appealing to the public for assistance in locating Cher Hao Wong, a 37-year-old Newmarket man who has been missing since March 25. 

He was last seen in the area of Main Street and Timothy Street at 9:45 p.m. that night, however police say his family haven't seen him since he left their residence on Bristol Road at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. 

Wong, who is also known as Charles, is from Singapore and moved to Canada six months ago, police said. He is familiar with the area and the public transit system. 

His updated description includes the fact he is South Asian, wears prescription glasses, and is 5 feet 7 inches, 160 lbs.

York Regional Police is seeking the public's assistance in locating a man missing from Newmarket since Friday, March 25.

Cher Hao Wong, 37, was last seen near Main and Botsford streets at 9:45 p.m. Friday, according to police.

He is described as having a thin build, black hair, and glasses. He was wearing a blue winter jacket, blue sweater, and black pants.

He is new to the area, police said.
