Bayview Avenue at Pickering College remains closed for hydro workers to complete repairs following a morning collision that downed a hydro pole.
Drivers should avoid Bayview north of Bondi Avenue and south of Water Street in Newmarket.
A vehicle drove into the rear of a parked vehicle near the school entrance, which caused it to hit the hydro pole at about 9 a.m. Thursday, May 28, according to a York Regional Police officer on the scene.
Traffic is snarled as a result of the closure, with northbound traffic being diverted to College Street, and southbound traffic detouring onto Second Street.
