92-year-old man dies in Vaughan house fire

York Regional Police, working in conjunction with the Ontario Fire Marshal, are investigating after a fatal fire at a residence in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at about noon, police, York Region Paramedics and Vaughan Fire and Emergency Services were called to a residence on James Street, in the area of Kipling Avenue and Woodbridge Avenue, in regards to a house on fire.

One person was located inside the home and was transported to hospital in critical condition. The 92- year-old man from Vaughan was sadly pronounced deceased in hospital.
