Motorcyclist, 27, seriously injured in Newmarket collision

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in the Town of Newmarket.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, shortly before 10 a.m., York Regional Police were called to the area of Yonge Street, north of Davis Drive, for a report of a collision. When officers arrived they found that a motorcycle had collided with a white Mercedes GLC. The rider of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old man from the Town of East Gwillimbury, was suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital where he remains.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police or who may have dashcam footage of the incident is asked to come forward.
