Markham man killed after motorcycle hits parking lot curb

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision involving a motorcycle in the City of Markham.

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a parking lot in the area of 8250 Warden Ave., for a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a red Ducati Mulltistrada motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle lost control, collided with a curb in the parking lot and was ejected.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 34-year-old man from Markham, was sadly pronounced deceased in hospital.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, to please come forward.
