Man critically injured in fail-to-remain collision in Bradford

The victim was injured outside his vehicle following an incident at a stop sign last night

South Simcoe Police Service officers are appealing for witnesses and security camera video after a man was critically injured in a fail to remain collision in Bradford.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, around 9 p.m., police were called to the area of Drury Street and Thomas Street for a report of a person struck by a vehicle. When emergency services arrived, they located a 67-year-old man with critical injuries. He was taken to a local hospital and later transported to a Toronto trauma centre.  

The victim's vehicle was northbound on Drury Street and stopped at the stop sign at Thomas Street.  An unknown event took place where the victim wound up outside the vehicle and an unknown person drove the vehicle away causing the victim's injuries. The pickup truck was abandoned a short time later at Frederick and Toronto streets. 

The pickup truck is a 2015, black Dodge Ram with Ontario licence plate AK42726.  Investigators are trying to determine what occurred and are appealing to witnesses and anyone with security camera footage to contact South Simcoe Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
