Man arrested in Vaughan after gun, drugs found in car

A 20-year-old Toronto man is charged with drug trafficking and firearms offences

Investigators with the #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 20-year-old man with drug trafficking and firearms offences in the City of Vaughan.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, investigators conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by a man believed to be involved in trafficking illegal drugs. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Forest Fountain Drive and Sonoma Boulevard and the suspect was placed under arrest.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, investigators located a loaded handgun, along with substances believed to be purple heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine. A search warrant was executed at the accused’s residence in the City of Toronto where investigators located a quantity of fentanyl.

Charged:

  • Brian Musa, 20, City of Toronto

Charges Include:

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of ammunition in a motor vehicle
  • Trafficking a controlled substance
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x5
  • Fail to comply with recognizance

Mr. Musa has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket for a bail hearing on June 24, 2019.
