Georgina man, teen arrested after man shot in leg during dispute

Investigators with the York Regional Police #3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a 25-year-old male and a 15-year-old male youth in connection with a shooting incident following a dispute in the Town of Georgina.

On Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 around 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a weapons call in the area of Riverglen Drive and Oakmeadow Boulevard. Officers received information that two males were involved in a dispute that escalated to the victim being shot in the leg.

The 19-year-old male victim was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The two suspects are known to the victim.

Charged:
    •    Kenny Rancoeur, 25, of Georgina

Charges:
    •    aggravated assault
    •    assault with a weapon
    •    possession of a weapon x2
    •    point firearm
    •    unauthorized possession of firearm

Charged:
    •    15-year-old male of Georgina

Charges:
    •    aggravated assault
    •    assault with a weapon
    •    possession of a weapon
