Georgina man, 28, dies in single-vehicle collision

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of Georgina.

On Saturday, July 20, 2019, shortly before 6 a.m., police were called to Baldwin Road, west of Horse Shoe Lane for a report of a single-vehicle off the roadway. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle and the driver who had been ejected from the vehicle and was deceased. The driver was later identified as a 28-year-old man from the Town of Georgina.

Investigators believe that the vehicle had been travelling on Baldwin Road around 4:30 a.m. For unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
