Female pedestrian, 67, dies after being struck by car in Aurora

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of Aurora. On Monday, July 15, 2019, shortly before 4:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Wellington Street and George Street for a report that a pedestrian was struck by a car.

The pedestrian, a 67-year-old woman from Aurora, was transported to hospital but sadly died as a result of her injuries. The driver, a 33-year-old man from Aurora was not injured and remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
