Employee struck with firearm in Newmarket phone store robbery

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects following a robbery at a phone store in the Town of Newmarket.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at approximately 4:40 p.m., police were called to a phone store located in the area of Davis Drive and Leslie Street, for a report of a robbery. Investigators learned that three male suspects entered the store and one of the suspects struck an employee with a firearm. The suspects took a quantity of cellphones then fled the store in a vehicle. 

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please contact police with any information.
