Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance to identify three suspects following a robbery at a mobile phone store in the City of Markham.  

On Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, shortly after 8:30 p.m., police were called to a mobile phone store located in the area of Markham Road and 16th Avenue, following a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, they located store employees and a patron who were not physically injured.

Investigators believe that three men entered the store, grabbed one of the employees and a patron and restrained them using zip ties. One of the suspects was armed with a knife and demanded mobile phones. The employees complied. The suspects fled with a quantity of phones.

The suspects are described as:

  • Male, brown
  • 18 to 25 years
  • Wearing black clothing with face masks
  • One of the was armed with a knife
