Driver, 76, dies following three-vehicle crash in Vaughan

Police are seeking witnesses, dashcam footage to the collision at Bathurst and Clark this morning

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan. On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at 10 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Bathurst Street and Clark Avenue West for a report of a collision involving three vehicles.

Officers received information that a black Infiniti G37 struck a white Toyota Corolla and a white Pontiac Sunfire. The 76-year-old driver of the Toyota Corolla was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and sadly succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The 73-year-old driver of the Infiniti was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Sunfire was not injured. The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
