Child sexually assaulted in public washroom at Georgina ski park: police

Police are asking for assistance to identify the suspect after a 10-year-old boy reports being touched by a man at the ROC facility

A child was sexually assaulted by a man in a washroom at the ROC ski and tobogganing park in Georgina yesterday, according to York Regional Police. 

Police were called to the outdoor recreational campus at 26479 Civic Centre Rd. in Keswick at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9 for a report of a sexual assault. 

Investigators learned that a 10-year-old boy had entered a washroom at the resort where he was touched by an adult male, according to police. 

Officers were unable to locate the suspect at the scene and are now appealing for the public to help identify him. 

He is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old. He is 5'11" tall and has a medium build. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black hoodie and a black face mask. 

Police are also asking for any witnesses who were there or may have seen something to come forward.
