Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking witnesses following a robbery at a commercial business in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 3:25 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a jewelry store located in the area of Main Street and Palmwood Gate for a report of a robbery.

Officers learned that five male suspects armed with firearms entered the store and pointed the guns at the employees and patrons while ordering them to the ground. The suspects smashed several jewelry showcase boxes and obtained a large quantity of jewelry before fleeing the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle.

Fortunately, nobody was physically injured.

The five suspects are described as: Male, in their mid-20s.
