Anti-Semitic graffiti spray painted on Vaughan garage

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hate Crime Unit and the #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses after hate-motivated graffiti was located in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 8:30 a.m., York Regional Police responded to a residence on Stratheden Lane in the area of Dufferin Street and Major Mackenzie Drive for a report of hateful, anti-Semitic graffiti spray painted on the front of the garage on a home. The incident is believed to have taken place on Friday, April 26, 2019 between 6 and 11:45 p.m.

Investigators are asking any witnesses, anyone with information or anyone with dashcam or video surveillance footage in that area to please come forward.

York Regional Police does not tolerate hate crime in any form. Those who victimize individuals based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, colour, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or mental or physical disability will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
