Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the City of Vaughan.
On Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at approximately 1:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to reports of a collision that had occurred in the area of Rutherford Road and Weston Road. When officers arrived they learned that three vehicles were involved and several people had been injured.
Four people were taken to hospital for their injuries. Sadly, an 80-year-old woman from Vaughan, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced deceased in hospital.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
