78-year-old pedestrian struck by vehicle in life-threatening condition

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious pedestrian in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

On Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at approximately 9:20 a.m., police responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a white Hyundai Tucson in the intersection of Tenth Line and Main Street.

The victim, a 78-year-old woman from Whitchurch-Stouffville, was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 33-year-old woman from Whitchurch-Stouffville, was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision are asked to come forward to police.
