3 Toronto men charged with trafficking ketamine, cannabis

Investigators with the York Regional Police Organized Crime Bureau - Guns, Gangs and Drug Enforcement Unit have charged three people and seized more than $400,000 worth of illegal drugs.

An investigation began in January 2020, after information was obtained regarding a suspect who was believed to be illegally trafficking ketamine. As a result, three people were identified suspected of possessing ketamine, MDMA and cannabis for the purpose of trafficking or distribution.

A search warrant was executed at a location in the City of Toronto and officers seized a large quantity of drugs.

Charged:
    •    Yang Wei, 19, of Toronto

Charges include:
    •    Trafficking Schedule 1 Substance x5
    •    Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x4
    •    Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 x2
    •    Possession for the Purpose of Distribution - Cannabis Act  

Charged:
    •    Feiyu Liang, 26, of Toronto

Charges include:
    •    Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2
    •    Possession for the Purpose of Distribution - Cannabis Act

Charged:
    •    Shu han YANG, 19, of Toronto

Charges include:
    •    Trafficking Schedule 1 Substance
    •    Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2
    •    Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
    •    Possession for the Purpose of Distribution - Cannabis Act

Drugs seized included:
    •    4.5 kilograms of ketamine
    •    MDMA pills
    •    2.3 kilograms of cannabis
