3 suspects sought in Whitchurch-Stouffville homicide

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are seeking suspects and witnesses following a homicide in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, shortly after 3 p.m., York Regional Police responded to the area of Ninth Line and Aurora Road for a report that a male victim had been shot.

When officers arrived they located a 22-year-old man who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Three male suspects fled in a dark-coloured SUV.

Suspect 1:

  • Male, Black
  • Cornrows in hair
  • Wearing a camo sweater and track pants
  • Armed with a firearm

Suspect 2:

  • Male
  • Wearing blue shoes
  • Shorter than suspect 1 and 3

Suspect 3:

  • Male
  • Wearing a large  chain
  • Same height as Suspect 1

Suspect Vehicle:

  • Black or dark-coloured SUV

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area are asked to contact police. Investigators are also appealing to any nearby businesses or residences that may have video surveillance, or any drivers who may have dashcam footage to please come forward.
