York Regional Police have seized a loaded handgun, heroin and cocaine and charged three men in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.
In September 2018, investigators with the York Regional Police Organized Crime Bureau - Guns, Gangs, & Drug Enforcement Unit, began an investigation into a suspect believed to be trafficking cocaine and heroin in York Region.
On December 19, 2018, undercover officers arrested two of the suspects during a drug transaction in the City of Brampton. A vehicle used by the suspects was searched and officers located a quantity of cocaine and heroin.
On December 20, 2018, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the City of Brampton. Officers located a third suspect as well as a loaded handgun, approximately 200 unknown pills, scales and packaging materials.

- Mark Duncan, 24, of the City of Brampton

- Possession of Restricted Firearm With Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime x 4
- Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking

- Tyrell Jones, 24, of the City of Brampton

- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

- Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
