Investigators with the #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking witnesses following suspicious vehicle fires that occurred in the City of Vaughan.
On Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, shortly after 2 a.m., York Regional Police were called to a residence on Balsamwood Drive, which is in the area of Rutherford Road and Thornhill Woods Drive, for a report of two vehicles on fire in a driveway.
When officers arrived, they found two vehicles fully engulfed. The fires were extinguished and there were no injuries. Investigators believe that the fires were intentionally set.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious is asked to come forward.
