2 men wanted in armed robbery of Vaughan convenience store

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance to identify two suspects following a convenience store robbery in the City of Vaughan.

On Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, shortly after 1 a.m., police were called to a convenience store located at 9600 Islington Avenue, south of Major Mackenzie Drive West, for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, they found an employee who was not physically injured.

Investigators have learned that at approximately 1:10 a.m., two men entered the store with their faces covered. One of the men was armed with a handgun and he made a demand for cash. The employee complied and the suspects fled on foot.

Suspect 1:

  • Male, Black
  • 25 to 30 years
  • 5’10” to 6’
  • Wearing dark pants and a dark jacket
  • Armed with a handgun

Suspect 2: 

  • Male, Black
  • 25 to 30 years
  • 5’10” to 6’
  • Wearing a blue jacket, light grey pants
