2 men stabbed in altercation outside Markham Tim Hortons

Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau continue to seek witnesses after two people were stabbed in the City of Markham.

On Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at 8:30 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a weapons call in front of a restaurant located at 7330 Markham Rd. When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man who was suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries and is expected to survive.

While officers were investigating, they located three men who were believed to be involved, one of whom was also suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The investigation has revealed that four men got into an altercation with a fifth man. During the altercation, two men were stabbed. The fifth man involved fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, Black
  • 18 to 24 years
  • Wearing a black winter jacket and black toque
