2 men injured in shooting at Georgina house party

Police were called after 2 men sought treatment for gunshot injuries at the hospital in Newmarket Saturday

Two men were injured in a shooting at a residence in Georgina on Saturday, Dec. 11. 

York Regional Police were called to Southlake Regional Health Centre at about 2:50 a.m. for an adult male with a non-life threatening gunshot injury. 

Later, at 12:30 p.m., investigators learned that a second man had also gone to the hospital with a gunshot wound. 

Police determined that both men had attended a party at a house near Old Homestead Road and Catering Road on Dec. 10. They said the shooting occurred there. 

They are now asking for witnesses to come forward. Police are also seeking any photographs or video from the party, and surveillance or dashcam footage from the area.
