2 men fled with cash after robbing Aurora bank

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance to identify suspects following a bank robbery in the Town of Aurora.

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, shortly after 2 p.m., police were called to a bank located in the area of Bayview Avenue and Hollidge Boulevard for a report of a robbery. When officers arrived, they found employees in the bank who were not physically injured. Investigators have determined that two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the bank and made a demand for cash. The employees complied and the suspects fled in a vehicle.

Suspect 1:

  • Male, Black
  • 5’10”
  • Wearing a black jacket, dark-coloured pants and a black bandanna covering his face
  • Armed with a handgun

Suspect 2:

  • Male, Black
  • 5’6”
  • Wearing a black jacket, dark-coloured pants and a black bandanna covering his face

Suspect vehicle: 

  • Black sedan
