A township in southern Ontario says it has declared a state of emergency due to significant winter weather conditions.

Police say a 23-year-old man has died from an overnight snowmobile crash on Six Mile Lake in southern Ontario. They say officers responded to the crash at the west shoreline of Walpole Island just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

TORONTO — Ontario is reporting 1,056 COVID-19-related hospitalizations and in the province today along with 324 patients in intensive care. That's 135 fewer patients in hospital compared to numbers reported on Saturday.

BRAMPTON, Ont. — The City of Brampton says water is receding in the Churchville Road area, allowing residents to temporarily return to homes that were affected by flooding earlier this week.
