Toronto is marking three years since a deadly mass shooting in the city's Greektown.

Ten-year-old Julianna Kozis and 18-year-old Reese Fallon were killed and 13 others were injured in the July 22, 2018 attack along a busy stretch of Danforth Avenue.

The gunman took his own life later that evening.

Mayor John Tory says the city hopes for continued recovery for the victims and their families.

He says the city is determined to keep Toronto safe and free from violence.

A memorial event is scheduled for Thursday evening.
