Amber Alert cancelled after toddler found safe

BARRIE, Ont. — An Amber Alert for a three-year-old girl north of Toronto has been called off after she was found safe in Guelph, Ont..

Ontario Provincial Police issued the alert shortly before 1:45 a.m. this morning alleging the child had last been seen with her 27-year-old father in Barrie, Ont., at around 2:15 p.m. on Monday.

Barrie police say the girl was reported missing and the force was actively searching for the pair. 

Shortly after the Amber Alert, Barrie police say they learned the girl was safe in Guelph.

The alert was cancelled at 4:45 a.m.

Barrie police say they are en route to Guelph to pick up the girl and continue their investigation.
