We are saddened to announce the death of John D. Rogerson at Southlake Regional Health Centre shortly after his 52nd birthday. John was born in Chatham, Ontario and was adopted by his loving parents at the age of 2 weeks. After the family moved with John he grew up in Newmarket graduating from Huron Heights SS and Seneca College. John was an avid sports enthusiast who really enjoyed watching his favourite teams: the Toronto Blue Jays and the Green Bay Packers.
John was truly loved by his family, his parents Norma and David, his older brother Dave, and his sister Susan, her husband Pej Javaheri, neices Aryanna and Jaiden, Java, and his own cat Miracle.
John really treasured his chats with his Auntie Marilyn as often as he could. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, by his Auntie Ann and family in England, and also those in PEI, Western Canada, and local Ontario. John’s neighbours at the Sandford Street Apartment building and his friends in Newmarket will really miss him too.
A great thank you to the staff at the Stronach Cancer Centre who did their very best to treat John’s cancers, to the hospital staff in Emergency Dept., ICU, and Acute Care, and to the Home Care Providers who cared for him with kindness, respect and dignity.
There will be no funeral but there will be a Family/Friends Celebration of Life at a future date.
