Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Thursday November 29, 2022 at 91 years of age. Loving husband of Antonietta “Ann” Nasato. Beloved father of Elmo Nasato (Linda) and Carmina Bradbury (Andrew). Proud Nonno of Gabrielle, Grace, Anne, Sophie and Thomas. Cherished brother of Maria, Rosa and the late Primo, Giovanna, Giovanni, Teresa and Rino. Son of the late Guglielmo and Gemma.
Luigi was born in Paese, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1953. He was a life-long employee (from 1956-2012) of Burling-Ranger. He was an accomplished brick layer and stone mason.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Rehab Neurology Unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Visitation will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Thursday December 1, 2022 from 6-9 p.m.
A funeral mass will take place at St. John Chrysostom Church, 432 Ontario Street, Newmarket on Friday December 2, 2022 at 10 a.m. Luigi will be laid to rest at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery in Newmarket.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
