06-Sep-1952 - 21-Aug-2022

David was born in Kingston, Jamaica on September 06, 1952. He was the second child of seven born to David and Beryl Bogues. He is survived by his wife Candace, daughters Renee and Odette, two dearly loved grandsons Thurman and Junior, as well as siblings Valerie, Andrew, Howard, Natalie, Jacqueline and Christopher, brothers-in-law Barry and Matthew, sisters-in-law Ellen, Patrice and Elizabeth, nieces Erin, Alicia, Jessica and nephews Andre, Darren, Adam, Jordan, Brandon, Dylan and Daniel.

David grew up in Jamaica and moved to Canada in 1969. In November 1973 he met the love of his life Candace, and they were married in May 1976.
David’s love of the outdoors enticed him to retire from his job at the hydro and open his own business in landscaping. He treated every property like it was his own and took pride in his work. All his clients were saddened when he was unable to return to work.

His greatest love was Jehovah and his family. After a long and hard battle with cancer, he died peacefully and firm in his faith, confident in the promise of the resurrection hope as found at John 5: 28 & 29 “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice (God’s) and come out”. We eagerly await the day when we will be reunited with David.

The Bogues Family would like to express their appreciation for all the thoughts, prayers, care and support from loving family and friends, my YED family, the staff at the Stronach Cancer Centre, the Medical Staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre, the Home Care Medical Staff and Margaret Bahen Hospice.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate David’s Life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 19235 Leslie Street, East Gwillimbury, on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a reception and time of fellowship following the memorial service at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket starting at 3:00 p.m.
