It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Tony Apollinaro on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Souhtlake Regiona Health Centre, Newmarket surrounded by his loving family.
Dearly loved son to Giovanni and Maria Apollinaro. Beloved husband to Michelle Apollinaro (nee Roest). Loving father of Kelly, John, and Michael. Very close Uncle to Lindsay (Apollinaro) Norman. Tony was born in Toronto, he loved his children and their friends, cooking and baking, renovating and his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Tony was passionate and intelligent, full of information on a range of topics from politics to science and geography. With a great sense of humour and outgoing personality, Tony could start and hold a conversation with anyone; teaching them things while making them laugh.
A thoughtful man with a huge heart that he extended often, even to strangers, making them feel like an old friend and giving them homemade cinnamon buns. He will be dearly missed by so many and forever in our hearts. Memorial donations in Tony's name can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, link in the Donations Tab on funeral home website.
