Impact's Beaulieu out 3 to 6 months after surgery on cyst in left knee

Montreal Impact goalkeeper Jason Beaulieu successfully underwent surgery on Thursday to address a cyst in his left knee.

The club announced that the 24-year-old from Boisbriand, Que., will be sidelined for three to six months.

The six-foot-four 'keeper will not join Ottawa Fury FC on loan because of the surgery and will be treated by the Impact's medical team.

Beaulieu signed a one-year contract that included three option years with Montreal last January.
