It was a "lifer" event for local birders when a yellow-throated warbler made a rare appearance in Canada last weekend. Reporter Joseph Quigley spoke to thrilled Newmarket birder and biologist Aileen Barclay about the arrival of the bird, which typically doesn't venture far from the Midwest and Florida. Birders from across the region flocked to the Tom Taylor Trail in Newmarket with hopes of catching a glimpse of the elusive beauty.
