Newmarket’s young philanthropists are continuing their mission to fight poverty and homelessness with a holiday fundraiser.

Manha Yusuf, 10, and her younger sister, Laiba, 8, are selling poinsettia plants, and fruit, vegetable and nut platters in support of Inn From the Cold, Newmarket's homeless shelter.

Throughout November and into December, the girls will be accepting orders online.

They are hoping to raise $2,000 for Inn From the Cold.

It is a cause the duo often supports. In their most recent fundraiser, they donated backpacks to the shelter, along with a number of other organizations in the area.

Previously they also raised thousands of dollars for Inn From the Cold through their Valentine’s Day fundraiser in February, Mother’s Day fundraiser in May and Father’s Day fundraiser in June.

The sisters also recently dropped off fruits and vegetables, eggs, and dried fruits for the guests at the shelter.

You can participate in the holiday fundraiser by placing an order online

Poinsettia pick-up and delivery will take place throughout November and delivery or pick-up for all other items will start on Dec. 10.
