Weather advisory in effect for:
• Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region
• Uxbridge - Beaverton - Northern Durham Region
A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for this afternoon and tonight.
Lake effect snow bands are expected to intensify and will affect areas southeast of Georgian Bay beginning late this afternoon and will continue into Wednesday morning.
Travel may be impacted due to accumulating snow, particularly during the afternoon commute.
