We love our chicken nuggets, Newmarket!
When we don't feel like cooking, the perennial kid-friendly favourite "5-piece chicken nuggets", closely followed by "Jr. bacon cheeseburger" topped the rankings for Newmarket, Aurora and East Gwillimbury on Skip the Dishes' 2019 list of the top three most-ordered items from its online food delivery app.
Across the province, 5-piece chicken nuggets continue to rule, with 341,000 orders placed, followed by 333,000 Jr. bacon cheeseburger orders, and 291,500 junior chicken order.
The largest of all Skip the Dishes orders across Canada actually came out of the GTA, at a whopping $4,004. Ontario’s most frequent orderer placed 710 orders in 2019 alone.
Aurora/Newmarket/East Gwillimbury
Most ordered items:

- Wings - 3,500
Most expensive order:
- $500, which included nine orders of fries and a wide variety of appetizers and shareables
Top user:
- The person who used the app most frequently placed 293 orders in 2019.

- Philthy Philly's, Sushi Jun and GRCo Grill.
Chicken of some version or other continued to top the list in culturally diverse south York Region.
Markham
Most ordered items:
- Chicken biryani - 9,700
- 5-piece chicken nuggets - 9,000
- Junior chicken - 7,000
Most expensive order:
- Markham’s biggest order was about $830, and it included 23 orders of various pasta dishes, six pizzas, and a bunch of extras.

Richmond Hill/Vaughan
